Georgia WR A.J. Green is meeting with the Panthers Friday, the receiver told PFW in an interview.
Green received the highest grade for an offensive player from draft analyst Nolan Nawrocki in PFW's 2011 Draft Preivew book and is being considered by Carolina for the top pick in the draft. He would complement WR Steve Smith and aid young QB Jimmy Clausen. If he is taken first overall, Green would be the first receiver taken atop the draft since Keyshawn Johnson in 1996.
"I'm looking forward to meeting with some of the coaches and the GMs, but it's a long process," Green said. "I'm ready for it to be over and we can get back to playing football."
