Former Bears WR Jim Seymour died Thursday at the age of 64 after a lengthy battle with cancer, the Chicago Tribune reported.

Seymour, the 10th overall pick of the 1969 draft by the Los Angeles Rams, played for the Bears from 1970-72. He had 21 receptions for 385 yards and five touchdowns in his career, all with Chicago. He never played a down for the Rams.

Seymour played for Notre Dame and was a two-time All-American. He still ranks sixth in career receptions at the school and is ND's career leader in receptions per game (138 in 26 games for 5.3 per game). He also set Notre Dame's single-game record for receiving yards with 276 (13 catches, three TDs) against Purdue in 1966.
