Patriots owner Robert Kraft will not be in New Orleans this week for the annual league meetings, due to a "private family medical matter," according to PFW correspondent and Boston Herald reporter Ian Rapoport. Kraft's son Jonathan, who is the team's president, will represent the franchise at the meetings.

The 32 NFL team owners are in the midst of a hard-fought labor battle with the NFL Players Association. Robert Kraft was absent at recent labor discussions because he was on a trade mission in Israel.

Kraft has owned the team since 1994 and the Patriots have won three Super Bowl titles on his watch.
