NFL Films president Steve Sabol has been diagnosed with a primary tumor on his brain.

Sabol was hospitalized after suffering a seizure during an awards ceremony in Kansas City two weeks ago. He underwent a series of test, which showed the tumor on the left side of his brain.

Sabol is expected to begin radiation and chemotherapy treatment soon.

Sabol, whose father was the founder of NFL Films, has been working with the company since 1964. He has received 27 Emmy Awards for writing, cinematography, editing, directing and producing.
