Eagles offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg has gone through the offensive scheme evaluation from last season's tape, and he has caught new OL coach Howard Mudd up to speed on the team's pass protections. Expect a heavy emphasis on this area through the entire offseason, lockout or not. Mornhinweg knows this has to get better next season. "I'm very pleased with where our offense is, but however, there are several things we can get better at ... starting with the sacks," he told PFW. "We had an unusually high amount of sacks (49 allowed) — typically we don't have that many. That's number one. We took some sacks in the red zone, and (it led to) turnovers in the red zone." Some feel that the offensive line will be an area of focus this offseason for the Eagles, but the team also will ask the other parts of the protection process to improve. QB Michael Vick must get rid of the ball quicker in some cases, and the tight ends and running backs also must pick up blitzes and stunts better than they did a year ago.
