PFW visited with injured Lions PK Jason Hanson last week, and he said his rehab from the MCL injury that ended his 2010 season has been gradual but productive. "I am close. I am getting there," Hanson told PFW. "It wasn't a severe injury, but the MCL is a bad one for kicking. Gosh, I feel like I could do a lot of things right now, but kicking is the last to come. So I hope so. I need to get healthy." The Lions have a decision to make with Hanson, who turns 41 in June and would be entering his 20th season. It's likely they'll bring him back with a shot to make the team, but there almost certainly will be competition for the franchise's all-time leading scorer. "Dave Rayner, who filled in for me, did a great job," Hanson said. "I don't know what (the Lions) will do, but I hope to be a part of it. I think we turned the corner. We won the (final four) games. I sure would like to be there when we start winning."
