Vikings CB Chris Cook was arrested on Saturday evening in his hometown of Lynchburg, Virginia for brandishing a handgun during a fight with another man. The incident took place around 5:30 p.m. and the arrest was made soon after, according to ABC 13 in Lynchburg.
Cook was a rookie in 2010 and finished the year 21 tackles and no interceptions.
The way we see it
Under normal circumstances, Cook would most certainly be punished for these actions by the NFL. Commissioner Roger Goodell has taken serious action in the past against players who don't follow the law, especially regarding weapons offenses. But with the league locking out the players due to the labor dispute, it is unknown if Cook will receive a fine or suspension.
