Vikings DTs Kevin Williams and Pat Williams are now headed in different directions concerning their failed drug tests in 2008.

Kevin Williams will not appeal the Minnesota Court of Appeals ruling, which sided with the NFL's decision to suspend both players for four games, according to the St. Paul Pioneer Press. He will sit out four games next season.

Pat Williams has filed an appeal and will likely avoid a suspension in '11.

The way we see it

Missing Kevin Williams for four games will be costly to both the team and the player. The absence of a four-time Pro Bowler is always felt, but the suspension could cost Williams $1.4 million, according to the St. Paul Pioneer Press.
