NFL agent Gary Wichard of Pro Tect Management died on Friday at the age of 60. An NFLPA certified contract advisor, Wichard founded Pro Tect Management in 1980 and represented some top NFL players.

He died of complications from diabetes and pancreatic cancer.

Wichard has represented Jason Taylor, Terrell Suggs, Antonio Cromartie, Jimmy Clausen, Taylor Mays, Dwight Freeney and Darren Sproles, to name a few.

Wichard received a nine-month suspension and was under investigation at the time of his death after a scandal involving football players at the University of North Carolina who received gifts and benefits from agents.

Clausen tweeted, "I am lost for words right now."
