WR Danny Amendola was one of eight Rams players given contract tenders on Thursday, according to PFW correspondent and St. Louis Post-Dispatch writer Jim Thomas. The team has not made an official announcement, but did acknowledge the newspaper article on Twitter.
Amendola received an exclusive-rights tender, while WR Laurent Robinson (third round), LB Chris Chamberlain (seventh round), OG John Greco (third round), CB Justin King (fourth round) and LB David Vobora (seventh round) were tendered at their original draft position level.
DE C.J. Ah You and LB Larry Grant also received exclusive-rights tenders.
The way we see it
Amendola was the top target of QB Sam Bradford in 2010, catching 85 passes for 689 yards in just his second professional season. The team would like to retain him while acquiring another big-play receiver, but these free-agent tenders could be meaningless depending on the next Collective Bargaining Agreement.
