The Patriots made their tender offers official on Thursday, offering contracts to restricted free-agent RB BenJarvus Green-Ellis and S Jarrad Page.
They also extended an exclusive-rights tender to CB Kyle Arrington.
The tender offers to Green-Ellis and Arrington had been reported earlier in the week. OL Quinn Ojinnaka did not receive a tender although he was eligible.
Green-Ellis had a breakout season, rushing for over 1,000 yards. Page, acquired from the Chiefs in a trade and a five-year veteran, had two interceptions as one of the team's backup safeties. Arrington started most of the season at cornerback opposite Devin McCourty.
The way we see it
The news today came with the offer to Page and the lack of an offer to Ojinnaka. This could mean the Patriots will part ways with S Brandon McGowan, choosing to keep Page instead. They play the same general position, and the team already has another backup safety, James Sanders.
Ojinnaka played only on special teams but was a top backup with versatility on the line. The absence of an offer TO Ojinnaka is nother reason to think the Patriots will select an O-lineman in the upcoming draft.
