Eagles QB Michael Vick signed his one-year franchise tender on Wednesday, netting him $16 million for 2011.

Vick's tender was an exclusive franchise tag, meaning he could not talk to other teams, but that won't be an issue as he signed his tender, as expected.

Vick received the tag on Feb. 15. He joined the Eagles in 2009 after a 20-month stay in prison on federal dogfighting charges.

After Kevin Kolb was injured in the opener in 2010, Vick took over as the team's signalcaller. The electric quarterback threw 21 touchdown passes and just six interceptions, compiling a 100.2 passer rating. He also had nine rushing touchdowns, all while missing four games because of injuries.

Vick was named the Pro Football Weekly/PFWA Comeback Player of the Year.
