Ravens NT Haloti Ngata signed his franchise tender on Wednesday, worth $12.476 million, according to multiple reports.

Ngata and the Ravens plan to work on a long-term deal when there's a new Collective Bargaining Agreement.

"Signing the two-time Pro Bowler long-term has been a top priority," the team announced on its Twitter account when the two-time Pro Bowler received the tag on Feb. 15.

Ngata recorded a career-high 5½ sacks in 2010. The value of the franchise tender is the average of the five highest-paid players at the position. The salaries of the likes of Albert Haynesworth and Vince Wilfork inflated the salary for the position. Dolphins NT Paul Soliai signed his franchise tender this week.
