The Chargers were busy on Wednesday afternoon, signing two players to extensions and offering contract tenders to 10 others.

DE Ogemdi Nwagbuo and LB James Holt each signed contracts with San Diego. Both will be entering their third season in 2011.

San Diego placed tenders on nine restricted free agents, maintaining rights to the players as outlined in the current Collective Bargaining Agreement. WR Malcom Floyd was tendered at the first- and third-round level, which is the compensation another team would have to send to the Chargers if they sign Floyd. FS Eric Weddle received a first-round tender.

Others who received tenders include LB Antwan Applewhite, OT Jeromey Clary and RB Mike Tolbert (second-round level); CB Dante Hughes (third round); LB Antwan Barnes and SS Paul Oliver (fourth round); and LB (seventh round).

Exclusive-rights free-agent OT Brandyn Dombrowski also was tendered.

"We're moving forward under the current agreement, which is what we have to work with at this time," Chargers GM A.J. Smith said in a statement.
