The Patriots have extended CB Kyle Arrington on an exclusive rights tender, according to PFW correspondent and Boston Herald writer Ian Rapoport. The tender is worth $480,000 for one season.
Arrington just finished his second season with the Patriots. He started the final 14 games of the season and had an interception return for a touchdown.
Rapoport points out that Arrington shares the same agent as Pats LB Gary Guyton, who signed a two-year deal last season when in a similar situation.
The way we see it
Arrington stepped into the starting role for the struggling Darius Butler and played well at times, providing a good run-stopping presence at corner. With Leigh Bodden returning next season, Arrington may have to fight for playing time, but he proved his worth in 2010 and can also help on special teams.
