Panthers C Ryan Kalil signed his franchise tender Thursday, guaranteeing him $10 million for 2011.
Carolina placed the non-exclusive franchise tag on Kalil Tuesday. The 26-year-old has played in the past two Pro Bowls.
DE Charles Johnson and RB DeAngelo Williams had been considered other possible options to receive the team's franchise tag. According to PFW correspondent and Rock Hill (S.C.) Herald writer Darin Gantt, the Panthers will tender both players as restricted free agents.
With Williams having five accrued NFL seasons and Johnson four, both would be unrestricted free agents if a new Collective Bargaining Agreement reverts to the free-agent requirements of a capped season under the soon-to-expire CBA.
