Steelers OLB LaMarr Woodley has signed his franchise tag.
Woodley, 26, is expected to make around $10 million next season as a tagged linebacker, depending on the wording of the new Collective Bargaining Agreement, after making $550,000 last season.
He had 10 sacks, two interceptions, three forced fumbles and 50 tackles last season.
The way we see it
By signing the contract, Woodley guarantees himself a hefty raise in 2011. There remains a chance that the Steelers still could sign Woodley, who has proven to be one of the team's top playmakers, to a long-term deal.
