Jets ILB David Harris signed his franchise tender on Wednesday, according to multiple reports.

Harris' tag will be worth around $10 million, the average of the five highest-paid linebackers from 2010.

Harris received the first franchise tag handed out by the Jets since 2006 when they tagged DE John Abraham. The franchise tag allows the Jets and Harris to work on a long-term contract.

In his fourth season, Harris recorded 100 tackles, three sacks and three passes defensed for the Jets' defense.
