Former Texans QB Dave Ragone was one of four coaches hired by the Titans on Tuesday.
Ragone, who played for Houston from 2003-05, was hired as Tennessee's WR coach. He previously worked for the UFL's Hartford Colonels as the QB coach. At Hartford, the team's quarterback, Josh McCown, led the league in passer rating and touchdown passes. Ragone has a history with the Titans new offensive coordinator, Chris Palmer, as he worked for him in Hartford and played for him with the Texans.
"Dave came in and had a really good interview with us," Titans head coach Mike Munchak said in a statement. "He is a smart guy who Chris has worked with as a player and coach. He has a great understanding of offense and how it all fits together and I believe he will be a good fit for the receivers room."
The team also has brought in Art Valero as assistant offensive line coach, Chet Parlavecchio as assistant special-teams coach and Arthur Smith as defensive assistant/quality control.
