The Buccaneers announced Tuesday that CB Ronde Barber will return for his 2011 season, as he signed a one-year contract with the only team he has played for.

Barber has played 14 seasons in the NFL, starting 704 games and recording 40 interceptions — all with the Bucs. In 2010, the 35-year-old intercepted three passes and totaled 13 passes defensed in 16 starts.

Barber has started 183 consecutive games.

The way we see it

This was an expected move by the Bucs to re-sign their veteran leader, who showed in 2010 he's still got it. This could be Barber's final season in the NFL, as he gets another season to help mentor the Bucs' young squad.
