Jimmy Robinson, who just helped a deep group of receivers in Green Bay capture the Super Bowl title, is the new WR coach of the Cowboys.
Robinson was with the Packers for the previous five seasons and previously worked with the Falcons, Colts, Giants and Saints. He worked closely with current Dallas head coach Jason Garrett when both were with the Giants (Robinson as New York's receivers coach, Garrett as the team's backup quarterback).
The Cowboys had hoped to complete their coaching staff sooner, but because of the Packers' long playoff run, the team couldn't interview Robinson until this week. The new coach will work with a talented group of receivers, headlined by Miles Austin and Dez Bryant.
The way we see it
This is a good signing by Garrett and the Cowboys. Robinson has a long history of working with talented pass catchers and should be able to improve an already-talented Dallas corps that doesn't have a lot of quality depth.
