A lawsuit has been filed over the Super Bowl XLV ticket incident in Dallas.

The lawsuit accuses the NFL, the Cowboys and their owner, Jerry Jones, of breach of contract, fraud and deceptive sales practices.

Lawsuits are being filed by both the 400 ticket holders who were told they had to watch the game on TV and by Cowboys season-ticket holders who were forced to watch the game in folding chairs with obstructed views.

The incident occurred when fire marshals did not approve temporary seating at Cowboys Stadium.

The way we see it

The NFL tried to make good on the mistake by offering multiple options, including offering fans three times face value for their tickets and an all-expenses-paid trip to any future Super Bowl, but it didn't stop some fans from suing. While the extra benefits appear great, fans of the Packers and Steelers have no guarantee that their teams will return to the Super Bowl any time soon.
