The Cowboys have hired Brian Baker to coach the team's defensive line. Baker has been an assistant at North Carolina for a little more than a month.

PFW correspondent and Rock Hill Herald reporter Darin Gantt reported that Hill said it was a hard decision, but that he could not pass up the opportunity to join the Cowboys' staff.

Baker will work with new defensive coordinator Rob Ryan. He has 15 seasons of experience in the NFL, spending the past two seasons with the Panthers' staff.
