The Eagles have promoted a pair of former players to coach on their defensive staff.

Mike Caldwell will coach the linebackers and Michael Zordich will serve at Philadelphia's secondary/safeties coach.

Caldwell, who was an Eagle from 1998-01, was promoted after serving as an assistant linebackers coach last season. He joined Philadelphia's staff in 2008 as a defensive quality-control coach.

Zordich played safety for the Eagles from 1994-98 and was a defensive quality-control coach for the Eagles last year.
