The Giants did a lot of great things through the air last season, and though the run remains the bread and butter of the offense, QB Eli Manning and the passing game can continue to grow, he said — especially if WR Hakeem Nicks can make yet another jump in his game to being one of the league's best receivers. Manning said that goal is within reach. "He's just got to keep working," Manning told PFW in Dallas. "He's young — only a second-year guy. He missed almost all of his offseason last year rehabbing. So hopefully he'll have this whole offseason to keep working on timing, getting exact about routes and continue to grow and learn. But he's a playmaker. He did a lot of good things for us and will keep doing good things." There's still the matter of the 25 interceptions Manning threw. Several of them came off his own receivers' hands, including those of Nicks, and others were tipped by defenders. "Maybe, but I still have to cut down on them," Manning said. "I'll go back and study all those and see if there's any theme or trend to any of them. I have to keep the ball in our hands."
