Redskins DT Albert Haynesworth is facing assault charges after a road rage incident on Wednesday, according to the Washington Post.

Haynesworth was not arrested but is planning to turn himself in next week, a police officer told the Post.

The incident involved a 38-year-old man who reportedly used a "non-verbal hand gesture" after the driver of a pickup truck, allegedly Haynesworth, was tailgating the driver.

With both cars stopped at an intersection, the driver of the pickup truck left his vehicle and, after exchanging words, struck the other driver.

The pickup truck driver, who is allegedly Haynesworth, then went back to his car and drove away.
