The Bears have hired Mike Phair as their defensive line coach, the team announced on Thursday.

Phair previously worked as a defensive assistant (2010), assistant defensive line coach ('09) and assistant linebacker coach ('08) for the Seahawks. He also has worked as a scout for Seattle and the Buccaneers.

The vacant spot on the coaching stuff came about after Eric Washington took the same job on Ron Rivera's staff with the Panthers on Monday.
