Packers QB Aaron Rodgers and Chiefs RB Jamaal Charles have been named the 2010 FedEx Air & Ground NFL Players of the Year.
The Super Bowl-bound Rodgers beat out semifinalist Tom Brady and Philip Rivers for the award, derailing Saints QB Drew Brees, who has won three of the past four seasons. Rodgers finished the regular season with 3,922 passing yards, 28 touchdowns and a passer rating of 101.2.
Charles' 1,467 rushing yards led the Chiefs' back past both the Texans RB Arian Foster and Falcons RB Michael Turner. His 6.38 yards per carry helped Kansas City to an AFC West title.
FedEx will donate $25,000 to the Safe Kids Coalitions of both Green Bay and Kansas City. Winners were selected through fan voting on NFL.com.
