It has been a great week for the Packers and Steelers as they prepare for Super Bowl XLV.

However, it has not been a great week for Vikings DE Everson Griffen. The rookie was arrested twice in the past three days, first for public drunkenness, then for felony battery, according to the Minneapolis Star Tribune.

The first arrest took place on Friday in Hollywood, Calif., where Griffen was booked for being drunk in a public area. Two days later, the former USC star was back in custody after being pulled over by Los Angeles officers in a routine traffic stop. Griffin allegedly resisted arrest before running on foot from the officers. A Taser was used to finally subdue the Vikings defender.

Griffen was taken to a Los Angeles jail but was released early Tuesday morning on $50,000 bail. His court date is scheduled for Feb. 25.

Griffen, a fourth-round pick last April, played in 11 games for Minnesota in 2010, recording 11 tackles and no sacks.
