Each day we'll post the prediction of a PFW editor for Super Bowl XLV. PFW executive editor Dan Arkush's prediction is the seventh of 10.
Packers 27, Steelers 21
I'm sticking with the team I picked to win it all before the season, even though I didn't expect Green Bay to lose six starters and numerous key reserves to injury. Like the Giants a few years ago, the Packers have gotten hot at the right time, winning with explosive offense one week and stellar defense and special teams the next week. I look for a tight contest in Texas with defensive scores likely from both teams at some point. The Steelers' Ben Roethlisberger has been money in the postseason, but I look for Aaron Rodgers, who wasn't at his best in the NFC championship game win over the Bears, to bounce back with a much better effort on Super Sunday. I also don't think the Packers' pass "D" will implode like it did in the Week 15 shootout loss to the Steelers in '09, when Big Ben threw for 503 yards.
