Each day we'll post the prediction of a PFW editor for Super Bowl XLV. PFW senior editor Eric Edholm's prediction is the sixth of 10.

Packers 27, Steelers 24

If there's something to learn from my picking the Colts to beat the Saints last year, it's that performance in the conference title game has nothing to do with the Super Bowl. So the fact that the Packers were uneven in beating the Bears is a moot point. If anything, it will serve as a cleaning-up point as they face a very good but not great Steelers team. In fact, I think both the 2005 and '08 Super Bowl teams were better than this one. Although Mike Wallace is dangerous and Ben Roethlisberger is playing like he's on a mission to prove his doubters wrong, I just can't go away from the best player left. Like Drew Brees last year, this is just Aaron Rodgers' season. He misread some zone pressures the Bears threw at him, but he'll be well-versed in handling the Steelers' defense, which is a near facsimile of his own team's unit.
