Louisiana officials have located the body of a man believed to be Brian Reed, the brother of Ravens S Ed Reed who went missing after jumping into the Mississippi River.

The 29-year-old's body was found about 500 feet away from the location police saw Reed jump into the river on Jan. 7. Reed jumped in as he fled a deputy sheriff.

"I just saw the sun come through the skies as he was being found and I thank God that he was found," Ed Reed told WDSU. "My gut feeling is saying yes [that the body is his brother's] because that was the spot."

Brian Reed had battled drug and alcohol problems, according to his mother, and was suspected of being involved with a car theft when he jumped into the river.
