The Bears announced they have agreed to terms with a new assistant special-teams coach. Kevin O'Dea will replace Chris Tabor, who left the position to become the Browns' special-teams coordinator earlier this week.

This is O'Dea's second stint as the Bears' assistant special-teams coach. He held the job during the 2006 and ’07 seasons before leaving to become the Jets' special-teams coordinator from 2008-09.

O'Dea served as the special-teams coordinator for the UFL's Hartford Colonials in 2010.
