The Buccaneers acquired much-needed help at wide receiver for QB Josh Freeman last offseason, drafting WR Arrelious Benn in the second round before selecting one of the draft's bigger steals, WR Mike Williams, in the fourth. Benn will be rehabbing this offseason, however, after tearing his ACL in Week 16, and the young receiving corps could lose its longest-tenured member if five-year veteran WR Maurice Stovall departs in free agency. Despite that, we hear the team is pleased with its personnel at the position, and it doesn't appear that there's a sense of urgency to add a veteran through free agency or a trade. The Bucs should have WR Micheal Spurlock, who is due to become a restricted free agent, back for another season and they like the potential of rookie WRs Dezmon Briscoe and Preston Parker, both of whom saw limited time at receiver in 2010. Slot receiver Sammie Stroughter could also be more involved next season if he can avoid injuries.
