Many were surprised when they heard the comments of GM Bruce Allen, essentially opening the door to both QB Donovan McNabb and DT Albert Haynesworth possibly returning in 2011. Don't buy it. The Redskins are attempting to build up both players' values in an attempt to trade them for draft picks (more likely) or players. McNabb has no future with the team, and Haynesworth wore out any welcome he had early on in the Mike Shanahan era in D.C. The Redskins might have more suitors for Haynesworth, interestingly, than for McNabb. With the Eagles adding DL coach Jim Washburn to their staff, the former Titans coach — who oversaw, mentored and motivated Haynesworth to his two finest seasons in Tennessee — could convince his new team to swing a deal. The Titans still could be interested in bringing him back, though less so now it would appear. And the Lions might have tepid interest, although Haynesworth would not be a priority. The options for McNabb appear to be fewer, with perhaps one or two teams showing significant interest.
