While many wonder who will be under center for the Bills next season, the question of who will be the center is intriguing as well. Eric Wood, a first-round pick in 2009, earned the acclaim of head coach Chan Gailey after playing the position well in the final four games of the ’10 season. The former starting right guard moved to the middle of the offensive line after Geoff Hangartner hurt his knee, and the team might keep Wood as the starting center going forward. Hangartner is a solid player, but the way we hear it, Wood would be an upgrade at the position. A move, however, depends on if the team can find a suitable replacement at guard, therefore improving two positions. Kraig Urbik and Chad Rinehart — both former third-round picks of the Steelers and Redskins, respectively — are the in-house candidates to fill the role, as they each started some games at the ORG spot when Wood moved to center.
