The foot injury that has been listed next to Tom Brady on the Patriots' injury report since early November will keep him out of the Pro Bowl, as he is set to have surgery.

According to the Boston Globe, Brady is expected to have surgery on his right foot Thursday afternoon and he should be ready for training camp in late July.

Brady missed every Wednesday practice starting Nov. 7 through the end of the regular season because of the injury. It never kept him out of games but he was limited in several practices.

Chiefs QB Matt Cassel will replace Brady, who was set to start for the AFC, in the Pro Bowl.

The way we see it

It was thought that Brady's foot injury was a reason he had some accuracy struggles in the middle of the season, but it clearly did not affect his performance the rest of the way when he set an NFL record for most consecutive passes without an interception and won the PFW/PFWA MVP award.
