With the season concluded, the Patriots signed seven players from their practice squad to futures contracts.

The Pats added TE Carson Butler, QB Jonathan Crompton, WR Buddy Farnham, DT Marlon Favorite, WR Darnell Jenkins, CB Thad Turner and S Ross Ventrone to their roster for 2011.

According to ESPN Boston, the Patriots also extended the contracts of OL Ryan Wendell, DL Daryl Richard and S Bret Lockett. All three players received one-year extensions and were scheduled to be exclusive-rights free agents.

Wendell served as the team's ORG when Dan Connolly played fullback in short-yardage situations. Richard and Lockett spent the season on injured reserve.
