Every day this week, a different Pro Football Weekly editor will offer a prediction on the NFC championship this Sunday along with a brief explanation supporting his pick. Making today’s pick is PFW associate editor Kevin Fishbain:

They say you throw out the records in a rivalry, especially when it’s the NFL’s oldest rivalry playing for the NFC championship. But what I cannot throw out is the way the Packers have been playing of late. Since their loss to New England, every game has been a must-win for the Pack, including two road playoff games. They have been playing with house money and winning. The Bears are certainly a much more improved team than we saw earlier this season, but Jay Cutler’s margin for error is slim against the Packers’ solid secondary. Playing at Soldier Field will help, but I still give the Packers the slight edge.

Prediction: Packers 20, Bears 17
