Every day this week, a different Pro Football Weekly editor will offer a prediction on the NFC championship this Sunday along with a brief explanation supporting his pick. PFW’s lead-off prognosticator is senior editor Eric Edholm.

In what has turned out to be a fantastic battle of quarterbacks, I'll take Aaron Rodgers going against the Bears' secondary before I side with Jay Cutler against the Packers' excellent defensive backs. The Bears have a potentially big special-teams edge, but the Packers are better in the other two phases.

Prediction: Packers 27, Bears 20
