The Bengals will coach the North team in the Senior Bowl, the third time that the organization has sent its coaching staff to the college football all-star game in Marvin Lewis' tenure as head coach. Considering the fact that the Bengals lean heavily on their coaches in the draft evaluation process, the arrangement makes sense. In 2004, the Bengals coached the North squad but did not draft a player off that team (though they did sign P Kyle Larson as an undrafted free agent.) They did, however, draft three defensive backs off the South team — CB Keiwan Ratliff, S Madieu Williams and CB Greg Brooks. In '09, the Bengals coached the North and drafted P Kevin Huber and CB Morgan Trent after working with both players. They also drafted LB Rey Maualuga and C Jonathan Luigs, both of whom played for the South team. Of the '09 Senior Bowl players drafted by Cincinnati, all but Luigs are currently still on the roster, as are RB Cedric Peerman (North) and WR Quan Cosby (South).
