Brad Childress could be returning to the sideline as soon as next season after being fired by the Vikings in the middle of 2010.

Sid Hartman of the Minneapolis Star-Tribune is reporting that Childress will interview with the Dolphins for their offensive coordinator position. The job is available after the team parted ways with veteran coordinator Dan Henning.

The interview will take place on Saturday. Childress was the offensive coordinator for the Eagles before joining the Vikings in 2006.

According to reports, Chargers tight ends coach Rob Chudzinski, Cowboys TE coach John Garrett, Browns offensive coordinator Brian Daboll and Hartford Colonials (UFL) head coach Chris Palmer have interviewed for the job.

The way we see it

Childress guided Donovan McNabb and the Eagles to offensive success. Whether it is with Chad Henne or a different QB, Childress can bring some coaching and play-calling experience to Miami — the question will be, is he ready to jump back into football so soon?
