The Giants have signed eight players — QB Ryan Perrilloux of Jacksonville State, DBs Joe Burnett of UCF and Cary Harris of USC, RB Martell Mallet of Arkansas-Pine Bluff, OL Ikechuku Ndukwe of Northwestern, DE Ayanga Okpokowuruk of Duke and WR Todd Watkins of BYU — to reserve futures contracts.
Perrilloux (6-2, 213) played this season for the Hartford Colonials of the United Football League.
Burnett (5-9, 194) was a fifth-round draft choice by the Steelers in 2009. He played in 15 games that season and had three defensive and 13 special-teams tackles. Burnett was waived on Sept. 4, 2010.
Harris (5-11, 187) was a sixth-round draft choice by the Bills in 2009 and has two career interceptions.
Mallett (5-10, 199) spent the 2009 season with the BC Lions of the Canadian Football League. rushing for 1,240 yards.
Ndukwe (6-3, 350) has played in 33 regular-season NFL games with 18 starts and two postseason games with one start.
Okpokowuruk (6-3, 250) was on the Giants' practice squad for the last two weeks of the 2010 season. He was originally signed as a rookie free agent by the Giants on April 25, 2010 before being waived on July 30.
Watkins (6-2, 191), has played in 21 games — all with the Raiders — in 2008 and '09 with one start and has eight receptions for 90 yards with a long catch of 28 yards, plus six special-teams tackles.
