The Dolphins have received permission to interview Chargers tight ends and assistant head coach Rob Chudzinski for their vacant offensive coordinator position.

Chudzinski should be familiar with Miami, as he previously served as the University of Miami's offensive coordinator from 2001-03. He was also an offensive coordinator with the Browns from 2007-08.

Cowboys tight ends coach John Garrett interviewed for the position on Wednesday.

The way we see it

Although they did retain head coach Tony Sparano, the Dolphins' coaching staff still needs a lot of work. Former offensive coordinator Dan Henning is no longer with the team and quarterbacks coach David Lee recently left to become the offensive coordinator at Ole Miss.
