The Buccaneers are ready to reward head coach Raheem Morris for leading Tampa Bay to a 10-6 record in 2010.

The St. Petersburg Times reported Saturday that the Bucs had picked up a two-year option on Morris' contract. The option is worth $2 million per season with incentives that could pay him as much as $7 million during the next two seasons.

The Bucs' seven-win improvement was the biggest one-year gain in team history as they just missed out on the playoffs.

The way we see it

Morris is one of the many worthy candidates for Coach of the Year following quite the turnaround. Under Morris, Josh Freeman has turned into one of the league's better quarterbacks, and the Bucs had their amazing success relying heavily on rookies.
