Rams offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur could be getting a promotion.

The Cleveland Plain-Dealer reported that Shurmur will interview with Mike Holmgren for the Browns' vacant head coaching position.

Shurmur is from the Holmgren coaching tree and worked under Andy Reid in Philadelphia from 1999-2008. He spent the past two seasons with the Rams.

The way we see it

Shurmur is expected to be a long-shot for the job, but Holmgren will want someone to install the offense he wants in Cleveland, and that guy could be Shurmur.
