The final "Sunday Night Football" game of the season earned the best overnight rating since 2002 for the NFL's season-ending game. It was up 11 percent over last year's Week 17 game.

The Seahawks defeated the Rams, 16-6, to clinch the NFC West title and advance to the playoffs. It was the only game in Week 17 in which the winner of the game would make the playoffs, with the loser missing out.

It was the 17th consecutive week that "Sunday Night Football" defeated all TV competition on Sunday night.
