Take a quick stroll down memory lane with PFW for a recap of the Vikings' Week 17 contests each of the last five seasons:

2009: Vikings QB Brett Favre threw four touchdown passes in Minnesota's 44-7 stomping of the Giants. The Vikings led 31-0 at the break, with three of Favre's passing scores coming in the first half. His first TD toss went to TE Visanthe Shiancoe, before Favre found WR Sidney Rice for a pair of TD strikes in the second quarter. Rice finished with six catches for 112 yards and two touchdowns, while Shiancoe contributed a 7-94-1 effort.

2008: After letting an early lead slip away, the Vikings scored the last 10 points of the game to sneak past the Giants 20-19. The Vikings led 10-0 after a field goal by PK Ryan Longwell and a 67-yard rush from RB Adrian Peterson, but New York would score 19 consecutive points to go up 19-10 in the fourth quarter. But the Vikings weren't done. QB Tarvaris Jackson hooked up with WR Bernard Berrian for a 54-yard touchdown pass to pull Minnesota within two before a 50-yard Longwell field goal gave Minnesota the win as the clock hit zeros.

2007: A pair of fourth-quarter touchdown catches by WR Bobby Wade sent the Vikings to overtime against the Broncos, but a Jason Elam field goal in the extra period sent Minnesota home empty handed. The Vikings led 3-0 before the Broncos went on a 19-0 run, but Jackson came through in the clutch with two TD passes in the final three minutes of regulation. It wasn't meant to be, though, as Elam hit a 30-yarder just 52 seconds into overtime.

2006: The Minnesota defense was overwhelmed in the Vikings' 41-21 loss to the Rams. St. Louis scored four touchdowns on the ground, three of which came as part of RB Steven Jackson's 25-142-3 production. Minnesota had no answer on the offensive side of the ball, as Jackson threw two picks — and just one touchdown pass — and was also the team's leading rusher with 34 yards.

2005: Vikings QB Brad Johnson manned the Vikings' offense in a 34-10 victory over the Bears. Johnson finished 27-of-40 for 247 yards and a pair of touchdowns, all without turning the ball over. WR Travis Taylor and RB Mewelde Moore each pulled in the TD passes, while RB Michael Bennett found paydirt on a 61-yard TD run in the fourth quarter.
