Despite an impressive cast of rookie defensive players in the NFL this season, readers of ProFootballWeekly.com left no doubt about which one has been the best.

In a recently concluded poll on this site, readers gave an overwhelming 60.1 percent show of support to Lions DT Ndamukong Suh, the No. 2 overall selection in the 2010 NFL draft and the rookie leader in sacks with nine, a remarkable number for an inside defensive lineman.

A distant second in the poll was Patriots CB Devin McCourty with 1,564 votes (18.1 percent); McCourty has come on strong to become New England's No. 1 cornerback. Coming in third was Chiefs FS Eric Berry with 520 votes, followed by Browns CB Joe Haden (488), Seahawks FS Earl Thomas (272), Browns SS T.J. Ward (222), Giants DE Jason Pierre-Paul (168), Dolphins LB Koa Misi (150) and Chiefs CB-PR Javier Arenas (68).

In our new poll, we ask readers to voice their opinions as to who has been the top offensive rookie this season. Let us know what you think.
