Joe Webb's breakout game in the Vikings' shocking win over the Eagles apparently is not enough to impress head coach Leslie Frazier.
Frazier said after the Vikings' 24-14 win over the Eagles in Philadelphia on Tuesday night, one that was delayed two days because of blizzard conditions, that Favre would start against the Lions in Detroit in Week 17 if he's recovered from a concussion.
Favre was injured against the Bears last week, getting knocked out of the 40-14 loss by Bears DE Corey Wootton, and he failed two post-concussion tests prior to the win over the Eagles.
Webb was very impressive in the game, his first start in the NFL, completing 17-of-26 passes for 195 yards and adding a sidewinding, nine-yard TD run that essentially KO'd the Eagles.
Favre's streak of 297 consecutive starts ended in Detroit two weeks ago in the game against the Giants that was postponed and moved after the Metrodome roof collapsed. But now Favre will get a chance to play in what might be his final NFL game Sunday on the same field if he's cleared by doctors.
